The TV programme "... i bona lletra!" from El 9 TV interviewed on 22 January 2021 Mariona Coll to talk about her new project on new materials for photovoltaics received by the BBVA Foundation Leonardo Grant programme.
The article published in JACS by Pepe Giner et al. in which the international team reports a MOF (metal-organic framework) that can separate biobutanol from the biomass fermentation products has received much attention in the American media, since there is a high demand for gasoline, and one of the research collaborators was from Oregon State University.
On 2 April 2020, ICMAB researcher Judit Morlà, from the Molecular Nanoscience and Organic Materials (NANOMOL) group, had her first appearance in “Som-hi”. Her section aired on tac12, a TV channel that can be tuned in from any point in the Tarragonès and is also available online. “Som-hi” is a television magazine that offers local news and information as well as some light educative sections.
On Saturday, 5 October 2019, we could see in the programme ¡Qué animal! from La2 RTVE, the researcher Anna Laromaine, from the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group, talking about the "supermaterial" bacterial cellulose. The programme was about animals with superpowers, so our Matheroes: the supermaterials of the future, were also featured in it! Thank you to all the ¡Qué animal! team!
One of our workshops for primary school students called "Become a Materials Detective" is the star of the TV children's show "Catacrak" from Barcelona Televisió (betevé), showcasted on Sunday 31 March 2019! Students from the school "Escola Mestre Morera" from Barcelona came to ICMAB to participate in the activity, in which they are introduced to the nanoworld and to the daily life of minerals. Arántzazu González, researcher from the ICMAB-CSIC, went on 11 February to a Primary School (Can Maiol) to talk to the students and visibilize women scientists, within the initative "Nuestras científicas: Jornada de investigadoras actuales y futuras" of the CSIC-Catalunya. The initiative appeared on the TVE1 news programme "L'informatiu" at 2 pm on 11 February 2019. Look at it here, from minute 16:04!

On Thursday 11 October 2018, the programme "Els Matins de TV3", directed by Lídia Heredia, interviewed researcher Teresa Puig about the superconducting materials, in their section devoted to science, and presented by Daniel Arbós. The section, of more than 18 minutes long, explains what superconducting materials are, what are their main applications, and shows the levitation experiment.

Ahir es va celebrar el 17è Simpòsium Fundació La Marató de TV3, en què s’han fet públics els resultats de la recerca sobre lesions medul•lars i cerebrals adquirides impulsada amb els fons de La Marató 2010. Nieves Casañ va informar en aquest simposi dels resultats del projecte amb el qual va ser sel·lecionada per contribuir a 2010 .
"Nanomedicina" és una paraula nova, però que cada vegada sentirem més. Es basa en l'administració de fàrmacs mitjançant unes partícules molt petites. Actuen directament sobre el lloc de l'organisme, de manera que són més eficaços. Amb aquest sistema, investigadors catalans han trobat una nova manera de tractar úlceres com les de l'anomenat "peu diabètic".
Esther Barrena, researcher at the SURFACES group at ICMAB, participated in the Pint of Science Festival, in May 2015, and was interviewed by La Sexta Notícias. Esther Barrena and Ana Pérez gave a talk about the nanoworld, and made the audience discover what is invisible to the eyes.
Mariano Campoy-Quiles was invited to the Catalan TV3 morning rogramme "Els Matins" on 27 February 2015 to talk about how young researchers deal with research in times of crisis, after having received his ERC Consolidator Grant for his project in renewable energies.

L'Estat espanyol ha refermat una posició internacional més que envejable en la recerca de nanotecnologia. No obstant això, cal seguir buscant més eficiència en la transferència de coneixement a un sector productiu.
Arántzazu González, Ana López y Laura Cabana participaron los pasados días 22 y 23 de enero en el curso "El científico ante los medios de comunicación", que tuvo lugar en los estudios de TVE en Sant Cugat. El documental és de gran interés i en ell hi apareixen les doctores Evelyn Moreno i Nora Ventosa de l'ICMAB a partir del minut 9:14.

Mariano Campoy-Quiles appeares in the news from "El Telediario" RTVE on 7 January 2014 talking about renewable energies and the organic and flexible solar cells.
The video talks about renewable energies in different areas: microalgae, which could be used to produce biodiesel and bioethanol. Microalgae could be an alternative to oil, especially if they are grown in waste water. The video also talks about biomass and organic waste to produce energy to heat some animals in the zoo. Finally, the video talks about flexible plastic solar cells, to convert solar energy into electricity. These solar panels could be integrated in textile and clothes, to charge small devices and sensors in bags, jackets or other wearables.
Associat amb l'electricitat, el coure ha ajudat a canviar el món. A més de ser un bon conductor, alguns dels seus compostos són també superconductors. En els éssers vius és un transmissor d'electrons en moltes reaccions bioquímiques. També forma part de molts dels pigments verds i blaus de les pintures gòtiques i de vegades pot adquirir tonalitats elèctriques. El programa explica també per què és tan bon conductor i què és la llei d'Ohm.
