This is the first MSCA-COFUND project for the ICMAB and for all the history of the CSIC and its research institutes.
The other participants in DOC-FAM programme are the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM-CSIC), the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) and the ALBA Synchrotron.
DOC-FAM will allow the mobility of 22 PhD fellows in the field of functional advanced materials, 9 of them will be recruited by the ICMAB.
The duration of the programme is 5 years and involves a budget of 3.453.120€. Half of this budget will be supported by the 1.726.560€ EC grant while the other half will be cofunded by the project participants.
The COFUND scheme of the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions Programme, aims to stimulate regional, national or international programmes to foster excellence in researchers' training, mobility and career development, spreading the best practices of MSCA actions. This is achieved by co-funding new or existing regional, national, and international programmes to open up to, and provide for, international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary research training, as well as transnational and cross-sectoral mobility of researchers at all stages of their career.
