NOV 2012 Optical Characterization Workshop
Barcelona, 5 november 2012
Optical spectroscopy is concerned with phenomena observed as result of interactions between radiation and matter. Measurement of particular spectra allows studying these interactions and their relationship to structural properties can be used to characterize materials and optical devices. An outlook to the present state-of-the-art of optical techniques gives a clear idea of their enormous potential. “In the beginning there was light” and light continues to be essential in many applications, from communications to medical diagnostic equipments.
