Hola!! I am Ezhil from India. I am doing my PhD at Universitat de Barcelona, but i will be continuing my research here in ICMAB with Dr. Arancha Gonzalez in the group of Functional nanomaterials and surfaces.
I'm joining ICMAB (as a RyC scientist) to work within the multifunctional oxides group. My work experience and interests are magnetism and spintronics in mesoscopic systems. Currently, I seek new types of information processing inspired on how the brain works; I consider that exploiting complexity of magnetic and electric signals at the nanoscale is an alternative approach to device miniaturization. I believe there is life outside the lab and we, scientists, must connect our work with society. By the way, my name is Ferran Macià and I look forward to meeting and collaborating with you.
I am Rosa and I am from Madrid.
I am lucky because I am a PhD student of X-Ray Cryogenic detectors and their Physics based in superconductors in ICMAB, before I worked as a technician for almost 4 years in several Research Institutes in Madrid.
I love travelling, knowing new places and learning new things everyday.
I will be between Barcelona and Zaragoza because I will do some tasks in Zaragoza (double lucky I am). This is my first time in Barcelona but very happy to be here, in a city with so many good references.
Hi everyone! My name is Anna, and I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Technology from the Universitat de Barcelona. My thesis focused on silica mesoporous materials and nanoparticles. I have entered the ICMAB to perform a postdoc at the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites group, with Dr. Anna Roig. The idea is to work with bacterial cellulose and nanoparticles, to optimize the synthesis and nanostructure of novel composite materials, and to study some specific applications, such as photocatalysis or batteries. I'm really looking forward to it, and to share my next few years with the people at the ICMAB. Apart from science, I love to dance the lindy hop and travel around the globe!
Hi!My name is Yu Chen from the southeast of China. I feel lucky to join this team. Now I am a Ph.D student under the supervision of Dr.Gervasi in the group of Magnetic Materials and Functional Oxides. I like travelling and reading.
Hi! My name is Qiaoming Zhang from China. I graduated from Southwest University, and I got my master degree in Physics in 2012. I've worked in the Southwest University for 3 years. And now, I've joined in the NANOMOL group as Ph.D student under the supervision of Dr. M. Mas Torrent, focusing on the Organic electronic devices for sensing applications. See you around.
I'm Cristiano, I've got my master degree in Supramolecular chemistry in Italy at the University of Pavia. I've joined the ICMAB on July as a scholarship holder. Right now I'm working in the Superconducting Materials and Nanostructures at Large scale Group. My work deals with polymer assisted deposition of magnetic oxide films.
see you around then!!!
My name is Jukka and I come from Oulu, Finland. I am joining to SUMAN-team as a design engineer. My main task here will be LabVIEW-programming.
I like sports, movies and traveling.
I look forward following years here at ICMAB and Barcelona :)
See you around at ICMAB!
My name is Jose Muñoz. Recently, I have finished my PhD in the Sensors and Biosensors group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). I am glad to come back to ICMAB five years later, this time as a post-doctoral researcher in the NANOMOL group under the supervision of Dr. Marta Mas and Dr. Núria Crivillers. My research is focused on the tunability of different platforms with nanostructured carbon materials for the development of multi-analyte electrochemical pollutant sensors.
my name is Deyaa, I am an Egyptian PhD student working on optimizing bacterial cellulose to produce some composites which can serve as efficient electronic components with the NN group,
See you around.
