NFFA-Europe project represents the first open-access research infraestructure in Europe to carry out experiments at the nanoscale (lithography, growth, theory, simulation, utilization of large research infrastructures).
From 18th until 22nd of July, and within the NFFA project, it will take place the first NFFA Summer School at the Engineering School of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB): http://www.nffa.eu/summer-school
The school is open to graduate students, young researchers, postdocs, engineers, scientists from academic and industrial communities, etc. and will be devoted to Synchrotron Radiation, teaching and demonstrating the benefits and synergies between synchrotron techniques and nanotechnology. Each day a thematic area related with the project will be covered (Theory & Simulation, Lithography, Growth & Synthesis, Characterization). There will also be guided visits to all the research infrastructures from the Bellaterra node available for transnational access (ALBA, ICMAB-CSIC, CNM-CSIC, UAB, ICN2). Finally, two scheduled poster sessions will take place within the school.
Please find attached the flyer for the school, we hope that this information is of your interest and we would like to extend you an invitation to participate in the school. The deadline for registration is 30th June and the reduced fee is only 100€ until 15th June and 150€ afterwards (includes coffee breaks and lunches); some free registration support is also available for students (all the info is on the web of the school)
